One thing within my journal I started to do more heavily is add Tags or reminders on days where a possible start of a theme is occurring or different types of setups have appeared more often. I can now go back and clearly see that for next week, a few themes that I should be keeping an eye on are:

Current Thoughts

I was very selective with the tickers I traded this week. Stopped trading random stuff and stuck to the clear setups I have. That plus the fact that there weren’t many opportunities of my setups appearing made it so I only had a few trades this week.

One thing to note, I really don’t want to use the current small cap market environment as a crutch for either not taking trades or making bad executions on the tickers I am trading. When these types of thoughts appears in my head, I must decipher whether it is a valid “excuse” or not. But as long as I am conscious of it, then that is a good first step here.

Solid Entries | Horrible Exits!

With the few trades I did take, a theme has come up. My entries on each of these trades were honestly exceptional. Looking back, I played each one of them really well, entering at the dip to a key level. And I think something that I need to highlight as well is I knew (for the most part) what to trade based on my playbook and stuck to it. I missed a few tickers this week, which is to be expected but overall, ticker selection and entries were well done.

On the other hand, my exits and profit taking, were awful. Either closing out a position because I felt uncomfortable or price moved against me (even though it didn’t hit stop loss). Exits are a key focus for next week!

So, do these execution screenshots below make me a little bit sick to my stomach for not taking more profits and exiting properly… Yes! But, I at least know that I am on the right track with some of the execution process.
